A distant cry of home unknown,
What have I missed today,
An afternoon unmarked?
Melodies dance off brick,
Sun arcs across the strings,
Survey the ending of day,
A subtle cup of tea.
A moment with friends,
Not soon lost to mind,
What is life without a pause,
Breathing in without exhale?
